Rabbit Health

Welcome!

Like humans, we bunnies get our share of illnesses or do something that gets us injured. Here We'll share with you what my pet humans have learned either through reading or through their own experience what to do when your friend is under the weather.

Before we go on a word of advice; if you suspect a major medical issue with your rabbit, always consult with your veterinarian first! Your friends life could hang in the balance.

My pet humans have set up a bunny first aid kit for both of us. Is very similar to the one Edison had. We'll let you know what's inside it and why.

Finding a good bunny vet is important to your rabbits well being. In Fact you may want to start your search before you bring your friend home. This way you will know who to call in the event of an emergency. In that section, We'll try to point out some questions to ask and provide some links for you to help you in your research.

Since we bunnies cant walk up to you and say "Hello there, I have a bit of a cold", I'll share with you some of the tell-tale signs that we bunnies give off when we may not be feeling well. You can find these in the "Is Bunny Ill?" Section!,

In the Abscesses section, we'll describe what these hideous things are and describe to you the ordeal that Edison went though with his treatment of this problem.

Like all things a rabbit's time on this earth is all too brief. The Crossing the Bridge section (which will be here in the coming days) will deal with the most difficult of questions concerning final arrangements and links to help those going through the loss of a rabbit friend or any pet loss.

If you are having some problems getting around our hutch, drop us a note and let us know so I can get my pet human to fix it!

Thanks as always for stopping by!
